Every "70% OFF" deserves a second look. Price History shows you what a product actually cost last week, last month and last year — right on the page you're already shopping on — so you can tell a real discount from a marked-up sticker. Open a product page on any supported store and a slim tab appears at the edge of the page. Click it and you get the whole story: the real price chart, a score out of 100 for today's price, an honest answer to "should I buy now or wait", and a one-click alert for the price you're actually willing to pay. Free. No ads. No affiliate links rewriting your cart. ───────────────────────────────────────────── THE PROBLEM WITH SALE PRICES ───────────────────────────────────────────── You've seen it. A product sits at ₹2,499 for weeks. A sale starts, the "MRP" jumps to ₹4,999, and the shiny new sale price is... ₹2,399. Struck-through numbers, a countdown timer, a red badge, and a discount that is worth exactly ₹100. The reverse happens too, and it's the more expensive mistake: a genuinely good price shows up on an ordinary Tuesday with no banner and no timer, you hesitate, and three days later it's back up ₹4,000. Neither of these is visible from the product page. The page only ever shows you today. Price History gives you the other axis — time — and once you can see it, most "deals" stop being convincing and a few quiet ones start looking urgent. ───────────────────────────────────────────── HOW IT WORKS ───────────────────────────────────────────── 1. Install it. There is no setup, no account and no configuration. 2. Shop the way you already do. On a supported store's product page, a slim tab appears at the right edge. It stays collapsed and silent until you want it. 3. Click it. The panel slides out with the full price history, the scores and the alert controls for that exact product. That's the whole interaction. If you never click the tab, the extension never puts anything in front of you. ───────────────────────────────────────────── WHAT YOU GET ───────────────────────────────────────────── THE REAL PRICE CHART An actual line chart of what this product has sold for, not a vague claim about savings. Switch between 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or the product's entire tracked history with one tap. Below the chart, three numbers that answer most questions instantly: • Lowest price — the best it has ever been. This is your realistic target. • Average price — what it normally goes for. Anything near this is an ordinary day, whatever the banner says. • Highest price — the peak, and often the number a "discount" is being calculated against. Read those three against today's price and you already know more than the product page will ever tell you. DEAL SCORE, OUT OF 100 A single number for "is this actually a good price?", scored against everything this product has sold for, not against a sticker price the seller chose this morning. The score comes with a plain-English verdict — Great, Good, Fair or Weak — and a short line explaining what the number means for this particular product. A 78 on something that swings wildly means something different from a 78 on something that barely moves, and the verdict says so. GOOD TIME TO BUY? The question the chart doesn't quite answer. A gauge that swings between Wait and Buy, based on how this product's price has behaved historically. Then it goes one step further and projects: what does buying look like right now, in 15 days, and in 30 days? Switch between the three horizons and see whether waiting is likely to be rewarded or whether you're about to watch it climb. On products with a strong seasonal or sale-cycle pattern, this is the difference between paying the festival price and paying the pre-festival price. PRICE DROP ALERTS Set the price you're willing to pay and get a desktop notification the moment it's reached. Click the notification and it opens the product, ready to buy. The target box comes pre-filled with the lowest price ever recorded for that product — a small thing that changes how people use alerts. Instead of guessing a number, you can see what this item has genuinely gone for and set a target that will actually trigger, rather than one that sits there for eight months. Alerts survive browser restarts. Set it, forget it completely, and get told when it matters. BACK-IN-STOCK ALERTS For the one that sold out while you were reading reviews. One click on an out-of-stock product and you'll get a notification when it's buyable again — usually well before it turns up in any newsletter. IS IT CHEAPER SOMEWHERE ELSE? When the same product can be matched across stores, you get a card listing who else sells it and for how much, sorted cheapest first, with the best price called out. It's the comparison you'd otherwise do by opening five tabs and squinting at model numbers to check they're the same variant. This appears where a confident cross-store match exists — most often on electronics, phones, laptops and appliances, where model numbers make matching reliable. On clothing or unbranded goods it stays hidden rather than showing you a guess.
