Overview

Instant Whiteboard is the fastest way to think on screen. Press Alt+Shift+W (⌥⇧W on Mac) — or click the toolbar icon — and a clean, infinite whiteboard opens in a new tab. No accounts, no sign-up, no syncing, no servers. — Designed to disappear. A minimal, light UI gets out of your way. A two-column toolbar on the left, a contextual style panel on the right, and an infinite canvas in the middle. That's it. — Everything you need to think. • Shapes: rectangle, rounded pill, ellipse, triangle, diamond, parallelogram (I/O), hexagon, database cylinder, star • Lines: straight line, arrow, orthogonal flowchart connector, freehand pen • Text and inline editing on every shape (font size that stays constant while you resize) • Insert images: pick a file, drag-and-drop, or just paste (⌘V / Ctrl+V) • Eraser, undo/redo, copy/paste/duplicate, multi-select with marquee or shift-click — Shortcuts for everything. Single-letter hotkeys for every tool (R, O, L, A, P, T…). ⌘C / ⌘V / ⌘D / ⌘A do what you'd expect. Backspace deletes. Esc deselects. — Local-first. Private by design. Your boards are auto-saved to your browser's local storage on this device. Nothing is uploaded, no analytics, no telemetry, no ads, no tracking. The extension makes zero network requests. You can export your work as a clean PNG anytime. — Why "Instant"? Because thinking shouldn't require ten clicks.
