Privacy policy

Last updated

You can browse Single Tab Browser without creating an account. This policy explains the limited data the site does collect and why.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how visitors find the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, your approximate location, device and browser type, and the referring website. The site does not use this information to identify you personally. You can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.

Extension submissions

When you use the submission form, the site stores what you enter: the extension name, store and website links, category, description, pricing, logo and screenshot links, and the developer name and email address. This information is used only to review the submission and, if needed, to contact you about it. The developer email address is not published.

Editor accounts

Only members of the editorial team sign in to the site. Their sign-in is handled with Google and the site stores the account details needed to manage their access.

Hosting and security

The site is served through Cloudflare, which may set a short-lived security cookie to protect the site from automated abuse. Server logs may record IP addresses and request details for security and troubleshooting.

Links to other websites

Pages link to the Chrome Web Store and to developers' own websites. Links to the Chrome Web Store include a tag that tells the store the visit came from this site. Those websites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you leave Single Tab Browser.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time. To ask about or remove a submission you sent, use the contact page.

Changes to this policy

If the site starts collecting new kinds of data, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
