RecipeSnip: Recipe Extractor & Meal Planner

Overview

RecipeSnip is a recipe extractor and meal planner for Chrome. One click strips a cluttered recipe page down to the ingredients, the steps, and timers you can start from them — then saves it, scales it, and turns a week of recipes into a single shopping list. MOST RECIPE PAGES ARE NOT ABOUT THE RECIPE You searched for a chicken dinner. You got a thousand words about someone's trip to Tuscany, four autoplaying videos, a newsletter popup, two ads that reflow the page every time you scroll, and — somewhere near the bottom, past the third "jump to recipe" button that didn't work — six ingredients and four steps. RecipeSnip fixes that in one click. Click the toolbar button and the page becomes a clean, full-screen cooking view. Ingredients on one side, numbered steps on the other, timers built into the steps that mention them, and nothing else competing for your attention. Close it and you're back on the original page, unchanged. RecipeSnip doesn't block ads, rewrite the site, or take anything away from the people who publish recipes.
